Yesterday Mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs announced his launch of his new cable network, Revolt! The network will center around music similar to Bet or MTV. Hopefully they will play videos, because that is lacking nowadays.
I applaud Diddy for being a black man owning his own Cable network, but it ain’t easy. Just ask Oprah. Trashy reality shows dominate TV so it will be interesting to see if Diddy goes into that lane. Will you be Watching?
Call Rihanna crazy, but adding her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on her Birthday Cake Remix is a genius move. For one, Chris Brown was wrong for putting his hands on her 3 years, ago, but we cannot punish Chris Brown forever, Two-Talk that Talk is not pushing great album sales numbers, so this remix should sky rocket her sales. Three-Let’s face it, Rihanna and Chris Brown should not be the poster children for Domestic Violence! Four-I think Chris is in love with his current girlfriend, Karrueche. Birthday Cake is such a raunchy song, who knows these two might still be getting it in!

After giving a Bizarre performance of Roman’s Holiday at this year’s Grammys, Nicki Minaj releases a new single, “Starships” It gives me a dance, electropop vibe. I see that Nicki is really going into a more pop direction. Nicki is very talented, but she is taking some huge risks these days. I heard a statement from her former manager that Nicki Minaj always wanted to be a singer, their is a lot of singing on this new track. Her new album, Roman Reloaded is scheduled to be released later this year.
How long Have you been Writing?
Since I could remember I’ve always kept a journal with me to just get out any feelings that bothered me or whatever was going on in my day to day life, I would just always write it out somewhere.
Why did you feel compelled to write this story?
When I was sixteen years old I wrote Sky Might Fall, during that time I was really depress about my life, and I didn’t know what much to do but write, and I told myself I was going to write a story about a young teenage girl in the struggle and how she’ll make it out one day.
Tell Us More about the main characters in your book?
Sky, Jerome, and their parents are mainly the main characters.
Sky who is the main character, she is the go-getter and one who keeps getting knock down day by day and she continues to struggle with everything that is thrown her way at being just 17 years old she deals with the streets, insecurities, drug addicted parents, molestation but she fights everyday to try not becoming a victim to the streets.
Jerome who is Sky’s best friend who Sky is madly in love with but never let him know, but he share a similar story to Sky, his mom is deeply in drugs and his father and brothers were murdered, he is this teenage boy dealing with his mom on drugs and trying to stay positive and help Sky with everything she goes through.
Both Sky and Jerome parents that plays a huge role in this story makes life complicated for these two young teenagers, by being addicted to the streets and being a burden on their children shoulders.
What writers inspire you?

I feel the best to tell a story is what is going on, or what people tend to ignore “reality!” and they are really good at telling whats going on, and what people tend to ignore.
What do you do for fun and in your spare time?
Of course I love to write different types of things and get joy and relief out of it, I’m really big on sports, so I’m watching Lakers, Eagles and Phillies on the regular, and I love to enjoy time with my family and close friends.
A little off topic. Do you think that their is a solution to the violence in Philadelphia?
I believe there are many solutions to the violence in Philadelphia, its just in this day and age a lot of young people are doing things like getting a hold of these guns, or doing violent things and it is like where is the parents? why aren’t they in the house reading a book, doing homework, at a rec center, doing something productive instead of trying to be violent, there has to be more of a positive aspect for the community and I feel that is being lacked in our community. The attention from parents at home and there is not enough positive things going on in certain areas in Philadelphia.

As you all know by now, Whitney Elizabeth Houston passed away on Saturday, February 11th at the young age of 48. Whitney was scheduled to make an appearance at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party that night. I am shocked and very saddened. I am having a hard time with this. I used to sing at talent shows and school events, and I always used to sing Whitney’s songs. Whitney was apart of my childhood. Her songs were the background of my life. I wanted to be Whitney Houston. I wanted her voice and her beauty. Whitney commanded a stage like no other, and she wasn’t even a dancer. Whitney wasn’t a recluse. She was everywhere and always kind to her fans. Whitney is the greatest singer of my lifetime. She could sing gospel, pop, rnb, and had a range like an opera singer.Whitney was the true definition of a Diva and was it was to be a star. She was regal. When she walked into a room her presence alone made such an impact. And Whitney sang whether she was top notch or not. No auto-tune or lip-syching necessary. Her legacy will live on through her music. What can I say about a woman that has meant so much to me and this world. I never saw this coming. I always thought that she would be with us forever. Whitney we will always love you. I pray for Bobbi Christina and her entire family and dear friends.
I’m not even 30 yet and in my lifetime, we have lost Aaliyah, Biggie, Tupac, Lefteye, Heavy D, Nate Dog, Michael Jackson, Amy Whinehouse, and many others from my childhood until now. I am so tired of this. Enough is Enough.
Jennifer Hudsen did a wonderful job paying tribute to Ms. Houston at this year’s Grammy’s by singing Whitney’s massive hit, I Will Always Love You! It was clear and classy. Jennifer wasn’t trying to show off, she sang in a very respectful way.

Rihanna and Willow Smith both debuted new hair this week. Rihanna is rocking bleach blonde hair, and Willow has a short cropped hairstyle. Rihanna is a pretty girl so she can style her in just about in way, and still look good, but I’m not really feeling this particular style and color. Willow Smith is a bold young lady to confidently wear her hair short and natural. I remember when I was her age and I had to wear a similar hairstyle, because a perm messed my hair up! I was teased in school so badly! More power to her.

Ummmm I didn’t really like it, It wasn’t epic at all, it seemed that Nicki and M.I.A. were like sidekicks, wayyy on the side, because their parts were so short. The whole football and cheerleaders thing made it feel like I was watching a SuperBowl Ad. Madonna has been in the game for like 30 years. I just expected so much more.
