Acting Class Week: 4

So Let me be real with you guys, I did not feel like going to class last night, I felt anxious and just plain afraid.  I get so easily intimidated by the other students in the class, because they seem to have more acting experience than me. However, I cannot give up. Fear holds people back, and I will not give into that. (Plus I paid for the lessons, and there ain’t no refund)  Anywho, we did the 2 truth and the one lie game, and we had to act out 3 scenes but it only had 1 speaking line. That was so hard, but it turned out to be so much fun. I’m still nervous about the next lesson, but I encourage everyone to go out for your dreams, and don’t let anything stop you. I’m the shyest person  in the world, if I can do it, so can you.

XOXO…

Inquirer Sports Columnist, Frank Fitzpatrick to Speak @ The Free Library of Phila

Dear Senior Center Friend:

As you know, we are in the midst of our series “Philadelphia 2112,” in which guest experts peer into the future and make thoughtful guesses about what life in our city might be like 100 years from now. To date, we’ve explored population and politics, the world of art and culture and the battle against crime. On Wednesday, June 27 at 11:00 A.M., our focus will be on the professional sports scene in Philadelphia a century from now. Our guest will be Inquirer Sports Columnist and Pulitzer Prize finalist Frank Fitzpatrick. Will “new” sports with few Philadelphia fans in 2012 be more important in the future? Might some of the teams that we are passionate about today simply cease to exist in the next century? Frank Fitzpatrick believes that some clues to our sports future can be found by exploring the past. Please join us in Room # 108 for this compelling, free program! Acting Classes Week 2

Howdy everyone, I hope yall having a great week.  I am currently on my vacation from my 9-5. Last night, I attended my acting lessons with my class. It was very challenging.  A  lot of improvisation, and making up characters on the spot.  I played at least 20 characters last night, including a hitch-hiker and a party host.  The main theme of the class was listening and trusting your acting partner, which is hard, because you barely know each other.  It was a lot of fun, but I have to learn how to relax and not be so hard on myself.  Check in with yall next week.

XOXO

Walnut Street Theatre Intro To Acting Week 1

Hey yall, It’s ya Phillyitgirl Mimihoney! I’m now taking on Acting Classes. Sure I’ve been on Independent movie sets as an extra, and in  a few videos, as a Sexy Starlet, but now I’m ready to jump in front of the camera for speaking roles. What better place than the oldest theater in the United States, Walnut Street Theatre.

So my first class was yesterday, and I was extremely nervous and insecure, but guess what I had so much fun. We played games and did tons of improv. The group was mixed of all different, racial and age backgrounds, which is super cool!  I believe these classes will help me build confidence and allow me to be a better public speaker.  So every week I will document how everything is going, and what I am learning.  It is never too late to start a new dream!  Who knows where this experience will take me.

xoxo
