Jay-Z hosted a carnival in New York to raise money for youths hoping to pursue college educations. The tickets were $1000.00. What a cool way to raise money, the stuffy galas and dinners are overdone. The gifts and prizes to winners of the novelty games included, Prada sunglasses, and Brooklyn Nets tickets. Nice. All the proceeds benefit the Shawn Carter foundation.

“Carmen Ejogo (Away We Go) and Tika Sumpter (The CW’s Gossip Girl) have also signed up to play Sparks’ sisters, Sister and Dolores; together, the trio rise together in the Motown-era music business as a Supremes-like group. Green will play their opening act, while another new addition, Omari Hardwick (TNT’s Dark Blue), will play one of the love interests for Ejogo’s character. Derek Luke and Mike Epps round out the cast. Director Salim Akil (Jumping the Broom) will helm the film from a script penned by his wife Mara Brock Akil (The CW’s Girlfriends).
Meanwhile, R&B superstar R. Kelly has agreed to write original music for the Sparkle soundtrack.

-In my opinion I don’t think that anybody should remake this classic, but I’m excited to see how it will turn out. I hope this movie is better than Dreamgirls, and I’m excited to see Whitney acting again. I always thought she was a great actress.

Have you noticed that we don’t see Kimsha Artest on Basketball Wives LA anymore. Well Kimsha took to her Facebook page to express her frustrations about being edited out of the show.

Evelyn cracks me up everytime. That’s messed up that they edited Kimsha out of the show. That’s interesting, because On the Vh1 website, Kimsha is still listed as being apart of the cast. The real question is what happened to Tanya Williams, who said she doesn’t ride the bus, and she had to look up the defination of a hoodrat! Kimsha and Tanya need to be back on the show ASAP. The ladies picking on Draya is getting old.
