I hear it time and time again. What’s the point of voting? I used to feel the same way to. I hear people say my vote doesn’t count, nobody cares about poor folks. Your vote is your voice, because it shows the government that you exist and that you care about your community, children, jobs, education. Sad to say, if we dont vote, then we can’t complain or hold the elected officials accountable. So your VOTE IS VERY POWERFUL TODAY. We vote because our sister is in the AirForce and has traveled around the world, and we dont want her sent back to Iraq, because of this senseless war. We want the troops to come home. So we must vote and stand with President Obama and move America Forward. Black people have been hung, spit on, beat on, just for the right to vote. We cannot let their struggle and torment be in VAIN.
So get out there and vote today!
Michelle Obama spoke to the University of Penn Students and supporters yesterday at a rally to encourage citizens to vote on Election day. Many students stood in the cold for hours just to hear her speak. She wowed the crowd and was worth the wait. For more about First Lady Obama’s visit link to dailypennsylvanian.com
